Zanzibar THIS THURSDAY. The event on
JUNE 21 from 9:00pm-2: 00am, is
IN ADDITION to the regular Wednesday
night. Featured entertainers are ERNIE
ACEVEDO and GRUPO IMAGEN, Abakua Dancers, Tropical Storm Dancers and Henry
Knowles. Grupo Imagen is a sizzling New York Dance band that has just
completed their 10th CD. These guys smoke! Tony V "El Sabor" alternates with DJ, Henry
Knowles. Tickets are $10 in advance
and $15 at the door. Dress to
impress. Gala attire is encouraged.

Ivan Rivera Ayuda Annual Gala Fundraiser
On Wednesday, June 20, Ayuda (social service agency) will celebrate another year of service to the Washington metropolitan area by holding its Annual Awards Gala Fundraiser at the OAS in the Hall of the Americas. The event features Ritmo y Sabor a local Salsa band, great food, and a silent auction. Congresswoman, Connie Morella (R-MD) is the keynote speaker. Tickets are $125 per person or two tickets for $200. Elan Artists hosts Club Cava
in Spike & Charlies located at 1225 Cathedral St. (next to the Meyerhoff
Symphony Hall) this Thursday. Salsa lessons begin at 9:00pm followed by live
entertainment by Mocongo Chevere until 2:00am who alternate with a disc jockey.
Sample traditional tapas, sangria, mojitos, and other exotic drinks. $5 cover
charge includes lesson.
